Na beidh ag fanacht

Go la na stoirme

Go gcoirigh tu an dion.

Meaning... do not wait until the day of the storm before you fix the roof!

Soul Release Blessing

This is a Celtic method for helping the soul or life force to release without hindrance. The releasing words must be handed down verbally. This practice is similar to the one described by Ramana Maharishi, the Indian sage. After his mother passed away in 1922, Ramana writes:

As I sat with my left hand on her head, my right hand on the heart, innate tendencies became very active. Scene after scene rolled before her in subtle consciousness. As the outer senses had already gone, the ego went through a series of experiences that may have required many more births of her. But the quickening process worked by the special touch given to her on this occasion, means the soul was at last disrobed of its subtle sheaths before it reached the final destination. The supreme peace from which there is no return to ignorance.
